7 Causes of Headaches: Identifying Common Triggers and Effective Solutions for Relief

While headaches often resolve with rest and adequate sleep, severe or frequent headaches can signal more serious health issues that require medical attention.

1. Excessive Stress

Excessive stress can cause headaches and migraines. When stressed, the body produces an excess of the stress hormone cortisol, which can trigger headaches. Techniques such as meditation, yoga, and regular exercise can help reduce stress and prevent headaches. 2. Low Blood Sugar

7. Infections

Headaches can also be triggered by viral infections such as the flu or dengue fever. In addition to headaches, infections often come with other symptoms like fever, muscle or joint pain, cough, cold, and fatigue. To treat headaches caused by infections, ensure plenty of rest and hydration. Pain relievers like paracetamol can help alleviate headaches.
